Peppol invoices in Gutsy's customer account

For Gutsy we built a Laravel app that turns Shopify orders into e-invoices to the Peppol standard, through POP API. Customers fill in their billing details in their profile and download their invoices themselves in their account.

What we do for this client

  • E-invoices to the Peppol standard

The app turns Shopify orders into structured e-invoices to the Peppol standard and sends them over the Peppol network, with POP API.

  • Billing details in the profile

In their Gutsy profile, customers say whether they order as a private person or a business, and fill in their tax details for e-invoicing.

  • Invoices in the customer account

On the orders page of their account, customers see their invoices with number and date, and download the PDF.

  • Only your own invoices

Every download goes through a signed link that is only valid for a short time, and a customer only sees the invoices of their own orders.

In the customer profile

This is how the block looks in a Gutsy customer's profile. The customer chooses private, freelance or company and fills in the tax code. For freelancers and companies, fields for the VAT number and the PEC address, a certified email address for e-invoices, are added.

  • Fill in once: the details are kept with the customer in Shopify and appear on every e-invoice that follows.
  • A block in Shopify itself: Gutsy places it on the profile page with Shopify's editor, between the other blocks.
  • Even without a profile: if the customer type isn't filled in, the company field in the billing address decides whether the invoice goes to a company or a private person.
